Football Non-Stop: Apertura Tournament 2011 Fixture in Buenos Aires

After a quarter-final with a few surprises, including favorites being eliminated, the logic is finally back to Copa America 2011 grand finale. Paraguay reached the end of the tournament without winning a game, with much effort and many injured players. Uruguay, on the other hand, was, by far, the best team in the Cup, with a consistent game and with two strikers in its best phases, Uruguay reached the final as the overwhelming favorite and this time it worked out and their favoritism overcame Paraguay by 3-0.

The place chosen for the grand finale was the home of River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina's biggest stadium that yesterday was completely full, not with Argentine football lovers, but rather with many Uruguayans who decided cross the Rio de la Plata to see their team play. The city of Buenos Aires witnessed the presence of the Uruguayan crowd, with more than 1,000 fans celebrating the Cup in the Obelisco in Buenos Aires. A party that has spread to the streets and avenues of the city, infecting the local and especially tourists who strolled through the city.

In the Copa America in Argentina once again the football shone and the people who have decided to participate in the event are the ones that won in this Cup, knowing new places in this great country, full of wonderful places. 

But here in Buenos Aires the football doesn’t stop, after the elimination in the Copa America by Uruguay, the Argentineans are already preparing the Apertura tournament that will begin soon to the delight of the football lovers.
