Copa America: When the North became South

After many days of matches and few goals in the Copa America, the first phase and the quarter finals of the competition ended and once again the logic in the football did not work. Whenever we make predictions of what we believe it is the more likely to happen, it seems that in football the more likely it is...who knows! And this Copa America is an indisputable proof of that.

An unusual and entertaining Cup
In these quarter-finals we saw many unexpected results. The four big favorites faced themselves in playoff games and only two classified to the next round. Argentina and Uruguay met in Santa Fe and Uruguay, in a very exciting game, secured with impeccable penalties its place in the semi-finals. As well as, Brazil went back home after losing to Paraguay in a very particular game, since Brazil lost the four penalty kicks and in the two game in La Plata, the team did not score a single goal, better for Paraguay who qualified for the next round. The other games, once again the favorites lost, Venezuela and Peru defeated Colombia and Chile respectively.

But not everything in football is unexpected, the hostes Country is living every moment of this South American tournament, as expected, and Argentina was willing to prepare well this edition of the Copa America and achieved to build good stadiums and a passion for football typical of these parts of the globe. Many tourists have decided to come, not only to the places that the matches are taking places, but also to the capital, Buenos Aires, where the hotels are full and the local transportation to the matches is over-crowded due to the public demand on these occasions.

Now, whatever the story that comes out there is, tourists are those who win during these competitions and they are the ones that make the passion for the football live.

By the way this is the official song for Copa América, "Yo creo en América (I belive in América)" check it out!
